Food Packaging Materials
 |
All of our food packaging products are manufactured in the ISO 9001
certified facilities. Many of the products are designed to package food
items with the consideration of providing a long non-refrigerated shelf
life. |
|
The
foils for processed cheese are made with an FDA approved heatsealable lacquer
especially designed to be compatible with modern packaging equipment. These
foils can be used for individually packed portions or for large cheese circles.
Whether used with the two foil process (shell and lid) or the single sheet
process, the foils can provide a hermetic seal for a long shelf life. This foil
is available in silver, gold and a wide variety of colors and shades. The foils
can also be gravure printed with one to eight colors.

|
Our
foil retort pouches are made in a 3 or 4 ply (OPA reinforced) structure to
provide minimum packaging volume and maximum protection against light, oxygen,
bacteria, viruses, and insects. These special structures can be used for flat
and stand-up pouches. The pouches are designed for rigors of the retort process
and are therefore suitable for a wide range of shelf stable, processed food
products. We can supply preformed pouches for fill weight ranging from several
ounces to 6 plus lbs. All of our retortable pouch materials which are made with
a foil barrier are available as preformed pouches or in roll form for pouch
production by the customer. The retort pouches can be supplied unprinted or up
to 8 color printed and can be shaped to meet your special requirements. Material
structure: PETP/AL/(PA)PP

These
non-foil retortable pouches are made in a 3-ply reinforced structure to provide
minimum packaging volume and maximum protection against light, oxygen, bacteria,
viruses, and insects. Made with unique high barrier coatings, these retort
pouches are clear yet provide the protection required for shelf stable processed
foods and are suitable for heating in a microwave oven. The non-foil materials
can be used for flat and stand-up retort pouches and are designed for your shelf
stable processed food and processed food pouch products. They are suitable for
fill weight ranges from several ounces to 6 plus lbs. The fully retortable
materials (special retort grade high barrier materials are used) are available
as preformed retort pouches or in roll form for pouch production by the
customer. The retort pouches can be supplied as a fully transparent pouch or up
to 8-color printed. Material structure: PETP/SiOx-PETP/(PA)PP or PETP/AlOx-PETP/(PA)PP.

Retortable
pouch foils consist of a top (lid) and cold formable bottom (tray) material for
production on horizontal form-fill-seal (HFFS) machines. The formability of
these specialized provides all the advantages of the flexible retort pouch with
the added advantages of automatic or manual horizontal filling of both
placeables (sausages, muscle meat, etc.) and pumpable foodstuffs (stews,
vegetables, etc.). With this system the range of pouching capabilities is
greatly expanded by increasing the type of shelf stable and processed food items
that can be easily placed in a pouch. HFFS pouches are suitable for fill weight
ranges from several ounces to 8 lbs. The HFFS retort roll-stock can be supplied
plain or up to 7 color printed. Material structure - top foil: PETP/AL/PP -
bottom foil: OPP/AL/OPA/PP.

These
foil based retort lidding structures are specially designed for sealing to high
barrier PP trays. The trays can be shaped as bowls, cups or plates with typical
applications for shelf stable soups, stews and prepared meals. Both a peelable
and non-peelable, version of the lidding are manufactured. The non-peelable
version requires a knife to cut open the lidding. Material structure - peelable:
PETP/AL/PP coating – non-peelable: PETP/AL/PP.
These non-foil based retort lidding structures are manufactured with special
retort grade high barrier SiOx or AlOx barrier films and are specially designed
for sealing to high barrier PP trays. The trays can be formed in almost any
shape such as bowls, cups or plates with typical applications for shelf stable
fruit cups, soups, stews and prepared meals. Material structure - PETP/ SiOx (AlOx)
PET/PP

|
These lidding materials are available in a wide range of structures for many
types of can applications.
Generally, our foil lidding is heatsealed to a tinplate or aluminum ring on
membrane heatseal machines. These rings, with the easy peel end already sealed
are then seamed to the top of tinplate or composite cans. Our lidding is always
easy to open with the non-retort version designed for use with dry products
(powdered milk, coffee, chocolate, cereals, nuts, etc.) and the retortable
version designed for cooked products (fish, prepared meals, pet food, etc.).
Material structure - non-retort lidding: Protective lacquer/AL/Heatseal lacquer
or Paper/AL/Heatseal lacquer - retortable lidding: Protective lacquer/AL/PP
coating.

These
special treated aluminum container foils are made specifically for formation
into straight wall or wrinkled wall cups or trays suitable for hot fill or
retort products. The container stock can be colored or silver and is treated
with special high temperature protective lacquers and polypropylene sealant
films. Once formed into cups or trays they can be sealed to high barrier
polypropylene coated foil or non-foil lidding. The formed aluminum container
stock can be used as cups or plates with typical applications for soups, stews,
prepared meals or pet food trays and other applications that require high
temperature performance.
