Lead Sheets - Production Program
The production program for lead sheets of the Stanniolfabrik
Eppstein & Jung + Lindig group contains all common dimensions and alloys.
Special product groups are the coated lead sheets
- with tin and tin alloys - bleiPLUS
- with color - bleiCOLOR
- with glues - bleiPLUS SK
Furthermore we are able to produce lead sheets with oversize
widths (up to 4.500 mm – 13.75 feet) combined with thicknesses up to 200 mm
(7.9 inches), as used for example in the chemical plant industry and X-ray
shielding.

Lead Sheets Tin Plated - bleiPLUS
Applications:
- Roof and wall application
- X-ray protection
- Special applications that require surfaces to be glued,
lacquered or similarly treated.
- The tin cladding prevents skin from contact with lead
while handling the sheets.
Material -- Like standard lead sheets but with a tin layer,
homogeneously rolled on the lead.

When ordering our bleiCOLOR you may choose between a color
coating on one side or on both sides. For a color coating on both sides, we can
supply the sides with different colors according to customers’ requirements.
Applications -- Roof and wall application
Material -- bleiPLUS (lead sheets tin plated), one side or
both sides having a UV and weather resistant color coating.

Applications
- Sound proofing
- X-ray protection and especially for surfaces have to be
glued, lacquered or similarly treated.
- The tin plating prevents the skin from contact with lead
while handling the sheets.
Material -- Lead sheets of min. 99.9 % Pb, having a contact
adhesive on one side while the other side is tin-plated. The adhesive type
depends on the profile of the area of application.

- Standard thicknesses 0.5 - 1.0 - 1.5 mm (.02 - .039 -
.059 inches)

Lead Foils - Production Program
The production program of lead foils is oriented to customers’
special requests.
Special product groups are laminated and coated foils, e.g.:
- synthetic-coated
- paper
- adhesives
- other non-ferrous metals ( Cu, MS, Al )
Thicknesses -- 0,015 to 0,5 mm (.0006 to .02 inches)
depending on width and alloy
Widths -- 4 to 1.250 mm (.16 to 49 inches) depending on
thickness
Lengths -- depending on thickness and width in coils up to
450 kg (1000 lbs.)
Lead foils of thicknesses less than 0,1 mm (.0039":) are
generally alloyed with tin and/or antimony. The mixture of the alloy is
oriented primarily to customers’ requests. The supply of lead foils based on
highly pure metals is possible.
Lead Foils
Lead foils are produced according to customers’ requirements
based on all common alloys and dimensions.
Alloys
- Pb: basis 99,5 - 99,999%
- Sn: 0,00 to 6% see solder foils
- Sb: 0,00 - 4%
- Further alloy elements are Ag, Cu.

Applications
- Sound proofing as a layer foil between foam
materials. Standard dimensions: 0,3 to 0,35 x 1.000 mm (.012 to .014 x 39.4
inches) in coils from 50 to 500 kg (110 to 1100 lbs)/coil
- X-ray shielding sector for the reduction of
(x-)ray scatter. Standard dimensions: 0,05 to 0,1 mm x 100 / 600 mm width
(.002 to .004 inches x 3.94 / 23.6 inch width) in coils or sheets.
- Dental sector. Standard dimensions: 0,05 to 0,1 mm
x 20 / 600 mm width (.002 to .004 inches x 0.79 / 23.6 inch width) in coils.
- X-ray grids and collimators.Standard dimensions:
0,016 to 0,25 mm x 4 / 600 mm width (.00063 to .001 inches x .16 / 23.6 inch
width) in coils or sheets.
- Steam barriers in laminated foils ( e.g. Bitumen )
for construction work. Standard dimensions: 0,1 to 0,2 mm x 1.000 mm (.0039
to .008 x 39.4 inches) in coils of max. 500 kg (1100 lbs) splices free.
- Ammunition sector in alloyed and plated
versions. Standard dimensions: sizes 0,05 x 400 x 400 mm (.002 x 15.75 x
15.75 inches)
Lead Tin Foils (Capacitor and Solder Foils)
Lead tin foils are produced according to customers’
requirements in all possible alloys and dimensions.
Alloys -- According to customers’ requirements and/or
currently common standards.

- Sn: 6 to 81 %
Dimensions
- Widths: 2.5 to 450 mm (.01 to 17.7 inches) depending on
thickness and alloy
- Thicknesses: 0.005 to 0.5 mm (.0002 to .02 inches)

Tin foils are produced according to customers’ requirements in
all possible alloys and dimensions.

thickness and alloy
- Thicknesses: 0,005 to 0,5 mm (.0002 to .02 inches)

- X-ray grids.Standard dimensions: 0.016 to 0.25 mm
x 4 / 600 mm width (.00063 to .001 x .0157 / 23.6 inch width) in coils or
sheets.
- Room shielding.Standard dimensions: 0.1 and 0.2 mm
x 600 mm width (.0039 and .0079 x 23.6 inch width) in coils.
